Every gardener has a favorite knife for working in the garden. Ours is a sort of broad-bladed mini machete with an 8 inch blade. Perfect for harvesting cabbage, cauliflower & broccoli, not to mention fall cleanup chores. Standard issue here at the Cook's trials. I keep a second in my pickup.
