Description
This crisp and early maturing green butterhead is adapted to growing from early fall through winter for the earliest spring crop. For best results do not sow before mid-August (even in the far north) and harvest before the end of March. Will survive most winters to USDA zone 4 with no more protection than a floating row cover. South of USDA zone 6 will be in harvestable shape through the winter if kept above 20F.
