The Cook’s Garden web site is provided as a service to our customers and to home gardeners across the United States. We do not attempt to capture or solicit any personal information as part of your visit to this site.
What personally identifiable information is collected and how is it used?
When you order products or register on the site, we need you to provide your name, email address, mailing address, day phone number and credit card information (when ordering products only), as well as create a user name and password. This allows us to keep a user profile so that we may customize preferences for each specific user, as well as provide a faster method for user to submit information to the Cook’s Garden and receive back either the information or products desired.
What navigational information is collected and how is it used?
CooksGarden.com logs the user's Internet Protocol Address (IP). An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your PC every time you browse the Internet. Information from IP addresses is used for system administration, to examine overall traffic trends, troubleshooting, etc. This information is used only in the aggregate form.

Most seed-only orders go by US First Class Mail to the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii and Canada.
For orders including other merchandise, please allow up to seven (7) days for delivery within the continental United States. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii with goods other than seed may require additional shipping charges.
Shipping Information for:
Crowns, Bulbs, & Roots:
Asparagus, Horseradish, Lilies, Rhubarb,Shallots & Strawberries will be
shipped from our warehouse. They will be sent separately from your seed order at the proper time for planting in your area.
Onion and Leek Plants:
Onion and leek plants will be shipped directfrom our grower in Texas. All plants are timed for shipment on or around April 15th - so have your garden ready! If you are unable to plant immediately, store in a cool, dark place or heel
into a patch of the garden until you are ready to plant.
Potatoes:
Potatoes will be shipped directly from our grower in Maine at the right time for planting. Please let us know if your frost-free date is unusually early or late for your region. In general, most orders go out from late April and May.
Seedlings:
We monitor weather conditions nationwide by zip code and ship your plants to arrive at the optimal time for transplant in your area.
Additional Information on Seedlings:
Sorry, we cannot ship any seedlings to California. We cannot ship any of the above items to addresses outside the continental USA or to PO Boxes.
We guarantee all products in this catalogue to the full amount of the purchase price. We shall refund your money or provide a replacement, anytime within a year if you are not satisfied.
We guarantee that every online transaction you make will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of shopping at our online store. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, We will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00.
