Hybrid. All America Winner. This is a widely adapted standard broccoli. Large central heads are followed by a profusion of side shoots to help prolong your harvest. For spring or fall, ready about two months from transplant. Start indoors 3 weeks before planting date. For large heads space 18-24 inches apart and fertilize just as heads begin to form; cut off main head at only 3 inches across to force production of side shoots or allow it to grow to full size. For maximum yield -- of small 3-4 inch heads for freezing -- space 8-12 inches apart and harvest all at once.
