Chard, Monstruoso

This is an Italian heirloom bred for the production of broad stems that make a great substitute for hard to grow celery, or for pac choi in Asian recipes. It is without a doubt the ultimate stem chard! Broad white petioles are great in stir fry, raw as a crudite or baked. Very productive and visually striking.
