Lettuce, Red Grenoble

Heirloom. We were afraid we'd los this fine French Batavian lettuce a few years ago and had to de-list it, but now we've found a new supplier. Rouge Grenobloise is a vigorous grower, resistant to adverse conditions, and the shiny, wine red leaves fairly glisten in the sunshine. As either a heading or a cutting lettuce, it can be harvested young for salad mix or left to head up at 12-16 inches across.
